Dr Haylene Nell has distinguished herself in the field of Clinical Development of new Medicines since 1986. Dr Nell has a special interest in early phase studies as well as asthma and COPD. She is appointed as Honorary Lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch where she co-presents the PGDip in Medicines Development and is part of the faculty at the Division of Law and Ethics, SU Medical School. She is Vice-President of the non-profit organisation Fundisa African Academy for Medicines Development, which presented the 1st Pharmatrain Accredited Clinical Investigator Certification (CLIC) course in 2015. She served on the Health Research Ethics Committee, University of Stellenbosch for 5 years and was appointed EXCO member of the South African Clinical Research Association.
